Ingredients:
Put dal, water, and turmeric, and spinach into a slow
cooker/crock pot.
Cook on medium for 6-8 hours. (Time and setting varies).
To test if it’s done, a lentil should be easy to soft and
easily crushed.
Put 4 tablespoons oil in separate pot.
Add heeng.
Add mustard seeds.
Turn down heat, add garam masala.
Add chopped green pepper.
Add tomatoes.
Add cooked dal, and keep stirring.
Bring to boil.
Turn off heat.
Garnish with chopped cilantro.
